CIS 1302 - AI for Everyone: Foundations for Non-Computer Science Majors 3 Credits
This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of artificial intelligence (Al) designed specifically for students outside the computer science field. Participants will explore the fundamental concepts, applications, and implications of Al in various domains. Topics include the basics of machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and ethical considerations surrounding Al technologies. Through learning resources and assessments, students will gain a solid understanding of how Al is impacting everyday life, shaping industries, as well as provide students with the knowledge to engage in informed discussions about Al and its impact on society, through the lens of their major or background.
Prerequisite(s): Completed at least 12 hours including ENG 1301 .
