The Texas Wesleyan University Online Catalog is the authoritative source for current academic policies, procedures, degree programs, and course descriptions. The official catalog is published annually on April 1 and is available online via the Registrar’s page.
This catalog does not constitute a contract, expressed or implied, between Texas Wesleyan University and any student, faculty, or applicant. While efforts are made to ensure accuracy, the University reserves the right to update or change policies, fees, curricula, schedules, and degree requirements at any time. Such changes apply to both prospective and current students, as determined by the appropriate University authorities.
Student Responsibility
Students are individually responsible for understanding and complying with all University policies and requirements. Failure to do so does not exempt students from academic or disciplinary consequences.
While departmental handbooks and manuals may provide useful guidance, the University Catalog and the Handbook of Operating Procedures override all other publications.
Catalog Year and Degree Requirements
Students typically graduate under the catalog in effect during their first completed semester of enrollment. Undergraduate transfer students from institutions with Transfer Guarantee Agreements may choose a catalog up to two years prior to matriculation. Documentation of catalog selection is maintained in the student’s permanent academic record.
A student must complete degree requirements within 10 calendar years of initial enrollment. Re-enrollment after this period requires adherence to the current catalog. Students returning within the 10-year window may remain under their original catalog or opt into a more recent one with dean approval. Graduate students may only change catalog years once, using the official Catalog Year Change Request Form.
