An upper-level survey of the oral and written literatures composed by Americans of African descent, from pre-Revolutionary War times down to the present day. Part of the African American Studies minor.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: ENG 1301, ENG 1302, and 3 hours of sophomore literature.
