COU 6313 - Counseling Children and Adolescents


3 Credits

This course provides an in-depth study of major counseling theories and evidence-based interventions as they relate to working with children, adolescents, and their families. Students explore developmental stages, sociocultural influences, and ethical considerations unique to this population. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the professional challenges and best practices essential for effectively supporting the mental health and development of young clients.

Prerequisite(s): Take COU 6301  or COU 6311
