Introduction to amino acids, protein structure and function, enzymes, oxygen transport systems, carbohydrate chemistry and function, membranes, survey of energy generating and storage systems, and bioinorganic chemistry. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week.

Prerequisite(s): Take CHE 2417 with a minimum grade of C.
