A one-semester course emphasizing the study of carbon compounds with an emphasis on their structure, nomenclature, stereochemistry and reaction of hydrocarbon functional groups. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week.

Prerequisite(s): Take CHE 1416 with a grade of C, P or better
