BIO 3352H - Research Methods in Biology Honors
3 Credits
Under supervision of biology faculty mentors, students will select a research project, write a literature review and research proposal, conduct preliminary experiments, and write a research paper. Research methods and experimental design will be emphasized, including the location and study of articles from the professional literature. One 2-hour lecture period per week. Students must also schedule time for consultation with the supervising faculty member and for 6 hours of library/laboratory work per week.
Prerequisite(s): Take Biology Core (BIO 1410 , BIO 1420 , BIO 2320 , BIO 2441 , BIO 2424 ) with a C or higher. Required: Take General Chemistry (CHE 1415 and CHE 1416 ) with a C or higher. Take any 3000- or 4000- level Biology course.
