The micro-certificate in School Counseling Foundations consists of six credit hours of course work and equips students with foundational knowledge for providing school counseling services. This micro-certificate is designed for mental health professionals who are seeking continuing education and does not prepare participants for licensure. It can be taken on its own or in addition to one of the master’s degree programs in Graduate Counseling. Credit hours earned may be counted toward the appropriate counseling master’s degree program requirements at Texas Wesleyan University.
