Mission
The mission of the Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia (GPNA) is to educate and contribute to the science and practice of anesthesia at the doctoral level by placing strong emphasis on academics and rigorous clinical training. Doctoral candidates develop comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare systems environment while demonstrating excellence functioning as highly qualified anesthesia providers. We recognize that the responsible provision of anesthesia includes proficiency in consultation and collaboration, healthcare economics, and leadership skills that advance patient safety, evidence-based practice, and expansion of access to quality anesthesia services for all populations.
